OUT & ABOUT

Pansy Line Tour

Kurrajong-Comleroy Historical Society will be running their popular Pansy Line Tour , on Saturday 29th April .
Join us as we explore the remnants of the Richmond to Kurrajong Railway which ran between 1926-1952 .
The railway has been gone for so long now that it is getting difficult to find many remnants but our experienced local guides will be able to show you what there is . Today much of the railway is on private property and not normally accessible , so it is the perfect time to explore with our guides and see the remnants that still lay hidden .
Please be advised that some walking will be involved at a leisurely pace and on mainly level ground , about 1km .
Some of the highlights will be the
Richmond Station and Richmond Park , Hawkesbury River Rail Bridge , North Richmond Station site , and Kemsleys Halt , then walk the formation between Kemsleys and Redbank Creek Bridge and the Kurrajong Station site .
Morning tea will be served and enjoy a steak sandwich lunch which is included in the tour .
Coaches will depart from the War Memorial at Richmond Park opposite Richmond Station at 10:00 am .
If you plan on coming by train , you will need to be on the train that arrives at Richmond Station at 09:30 am to meet up with the coach . The Pansy Line Tour will return by coach to Richmond Station around 3:30pm .
