Windsor has “ Light Up Windsor ” now Richmond has its very own event for Christmas ... hello . Richmond - A Claus to Celebrate !
The event has evolved from a collective working together from Richmond Rotary , The Royal Hotel , The Independent magazine , the Hawkesbury Council and Richmond local small businesses coming together to bring Christmas festivities to the town .
It all started when Karen Anderson , owner of the Royal Hotel , received an email telling her about the Rotary Christmas Carols , and she had a light bulb moment ! Last year the Royal Hotel held a Christmas Market which was very successful so she thought wouldn ’ t it be great to bring all local businesses in Richmond together and create a festival-like event , joining in with the Richmond Rotary Carols , which has always been a big gathering in Richmond until COVID hit us .
Karen then organised to meet with Jo Dunstan and Barry Adams from Richmond Rotary , and myself and we sat down and had a brainstorming session that later evolved into hello . Richmond in collaboration with the Hawkesbury Council and local Richmond Businesses . hello . Richmond “ A Clause to Celebrate !”
