Workhorses of yesteryear and lots of historic machines will be on display at this year ’ s Clarendon Classic , with heaps of trucks and hobbies on show at the Hawkesbury Showground on the weekend of 17-18 September .

Many are running machines so kids and adults alike will see old tractors , pumps , and generators , all chugging , roaring and hissing ! Lots of classic cars and trucks also attend as static displays , and there are stallholders selling collectables and old parts . It is great fun and is an educational day out for all the family . It ’ s a weekend not to be missed . There will be free jumping castles for

kids , and a tractor-pulled ride trailer to ferry sore-footed people around the grounds . A variety of food stalls will keep your hunger at bay , and there will be items to buy from collectable stalls plus and wood cutting demonstrations .

Rides will also be available on the vintage buses which will be running a shuttle from Hawkesbury Showground to Richmond Train Station and back , with a gold coin donation each way .

Previous years have seen over 5,000 people attend to see classic trucks , cars , tractors , and models , plus the big range of stationary steam and internal combustion engines running on the weekend . Some are small models ; while others are huge traction engines .

There are themes each year and this year ’ s is featuring 100 years of Lanz Bulldog , 150 years of Thornycroft , 75 years of the Grey Fergie tractor and all engines made by International . One of the original big Thornycroft Antar trucks is preserved from the original Snowy Mountains Hydro scheme .

The Kenworth Klassic Truck show is also run annually as part of its rally , and there are usually over 400 trucks along with vintage cars and tractors . There will be displays of chain-sawing , steam engines , classic boats , motorbikes , military vehicles and buses .

Hawkesbury Showground is at Racecourse Rd , Clarendon , only a

hundred metres from Clarendon Station , and free parking is available via Gate 4 .
