NSW State Rugby Championships
Hawkesbury Valley Junior Rugby Union took part in the State Rugby Championships , representing Two Blues Juniors over 11-13 June .
Alec Buchert represented the U16 side that produced wins over Sydney University and Easts-Wests before a loss to Manly and draw with Warringah .
They unfortunately fell short in the playoffs with defeat to Southern Districts before taking place in the Plate finals , defeating Mid-North Coast and Easts- Wests again before falling a point short to Gordon in the Plate Grand Final .
Jameson Clarke , Tye McCabe and Lucas Connon were a part of the U15s squad who tasted victory over Northern Suburbs and Manly but defeats to Northern Perth , Penrith and Warringah saw them battle for the Plate instead .
They notched up further wins here over Randwick and Southern Perth , however , they fell short to Northern Suburbs in the Plate Semi-Finals . U10 and U11 Junior State Championships are also coming up mid-July . Hawkesbury Valley Rugby Union seniors have also been promoted to the second division of NSW Suburban Rugby .
Windsor Wolves set to celebrate Old Boys Day
The Windsor Wolves are hosting an Old Boys Day on 31 July which is set to be an exciting day for the club set to a backdrop of a full day of footy at Windsor Stadium .
The rugby league kicks off at 11:30am with Under 16s Division 2 taking on Glenmore Park before the Division 1 side hosts Northwest Magpies at 12:40pm .
Gymnasts launch fundraiser ahead of World Games
The Kachan School of Tumbling and Performance ( KSTP ) hosted a fundraiser on Saturday , 2 July in Windsor for locals to help support athletes who are heading to The World Games in mid-July .
Gymnasts at the KSTP showcased awardwinning routines at the fundraiser which ran from 2-5:00pm . The event was aimed to assist the athletes with their travel and competition expenses . In addition to the routines on display , there were also market stalls along with fun games and prizes for kids , including minute to win it challenges , cookie decorating and bubble soccer .
Local families and enthusiasts of gymnastics were also given the opportunity to take their picture with athletes in their Australian uniform and holding their recent World Cup medals . The gymnasts were joined at the fundraiser by KSTP head coach Dzmitry Kachan , who was announced as the national coach for the event .

The Under 18s Division 1 are next at 1:50pm as they face off against Brothers before A Grade closes out the day at 3:00pm when they play Glenmore Park . There are $ 4 schooners and house wines all day to accompany a sausage sizzle while rides will be from 12- : 004pm as part of the family fun day .
A formal event will be held on the Saturday night before Old Boys Day which is an invite-only celebration for life members and important people in the club ’ s history .
Hawkesbury District Tennis Association celebrates 100 years
The Hawkesbury District Tennis Association have celebrated their centenary with an Open Day held on 26 June at the Richmond Tennis Centre . Local MP Susan Templeman and a representative from Tennis NSW attended to show their support for tennis in the Hawkesbury .
The open day offered free coaching sessions , ball machine hire , court hire and round robin competitions in a fun day for all involved to celebrate a major milestone of tennis in our community .

In other positive news for Gymnastics NSW , an elite squad of local gymnasts returned home from the Gold Coast with a gold medal for the all-around competition at the 2022 Australian Gymnastics Championships which was held from 11-25 May . The team , made up of six men who train at the Gymnastics NSW High Performance Centre in Rooty Hill competed against the best in the country at the Gold Coast event .
“ Once we saw the scores at the end , we were quite shocked , it was pretty amazing – we walked out knowing we made history ,” Marsden Park gymnast Alan Osman said in regards to their impressive victory .
NSW also took home the prestigious Cheales-Williamson Shield for the second year in a row , a prize awarded to the most successful state or territory in Men ’ s Gymnastics .
There were around 400 gymnasts chosen to represent NSW following a series of selection trials .
