Music and fun at Settlers Arms Inn

THE SETTLERS FIVE – FRIDAY 17TH , SATURDAY 18TH & SUNDAY 19TH JUNE

The weekend of Friday 17 to 19 June will be full of music from the Settlers Band who play over dinner on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday during lunch .
Band member Graham Black said , “ The Settlers Band named themselves after the St Albans Settlers Arms Inn because they just love the fun and laid-back unique vibe of this little part of heaven .”
The band play all genres of wellknown music such as rock , pop , swing , blues , folk , jazz , and even Irish stuff with a multitude of instruments . They often have requests or have a guest join them for a few extra tunes for added spice .
Band members come from the Central Coast and Newcastle areas and feature Greg Frohlich on keyboard , his brother Martin on mandolin , fiddle , recorder and guitar , Graham Black on banjo , guitar and harmonica , Roger Sherack on percussion , whip , and didge and the fifth wheel is Peter Schillert on trumpet , trombone and guitar . All sing and enjoy the casual vibe and getting the audience involved .
The Settlers Arms Inn is a favourite spot for those looking for an interesting but short-day trip . Car clubs love the drive and destination so there are usually groups of Porsches , Jags , Minis or bikes lined up , while the travellers spoil themselves with the super food and enjoy the live music .
Outside the heritage inn there are other interesting things to see such as magnificent peacocks with their beautiful fan tails , foraging chickens , old vintage cars , an ex-war jeep and more .
The Settlers Band play their three gigs at St Albans about once a month . UPCOMING DATES 17th - 19th June 22nd - 24th July 2nd - 4th September
