These upgrades will make it easier for residents to access public transport , particularly for people with a disability or limited mobility , parents and carers with prams and customers with luggage .
This upgrade will include two new accessible parking spaces on Racecourse Road , upgrades to footpaths and ramps and

new seating with widened platforms around the Boarding Assistance Zones .
In addition , there will be modifications to existing waiting areas , a new family accessible amenity and an upgraded ambulant amenity .
The station will also receive improved safety features including additional CCTV , lighting and upgraded wayfinding signage .
The station ’ s upgrade is part of the NSW Government ’ s Transport Access Program which has invested $ 2.2 billion in modernising and improving accessibility to public transport infrastructure .
The upgrade of the Clarendon station will be a great investment into the Hawkesbury Electorate and a win for the community .

Improvements to school zones in Hawkesbury
Hawkesbury has received $ 635,000 for vital work to improve safety in school zones as part of the $ 40.9 million School Zone Infrastructure Sub Program which was designed to help keep children in metropolitan NSW and in Hawkesbury even safer as they travel to and from school .
The Perrottet Government is committed to helping improve safety around our schools and the projects in Hawkesbury will create safer pedestrian connections for children , their parents and carers and the school community .
|
This funding is supporting the fast roll-out of several projects across schools in metropolitan NSW , including the Bligh Park , Kurrajong and Pitt Town Public Schools . Schools across our state which are included in the program will benefit from improvements targeted at keeping NSW students safe .
Safety uapgrades include raised pedestrian crossings , pedestrian refuges and kerb blisters and will help pedestrians , school children , cyclists and motorists share the roads safely .
It ’ s great to see this investment in our community and I am confident it will be a huge step towards making our school zones even safer .
