Hawkesbury Library at your service

The Hawkesbury Library Service is happy to announce that it has returned to normal opening hours , and it looks forward to welcoming you back . At the library you can access library collections , browse shelves and access the free Wi-Fi , public computers , and study space . The Hawkesbury libraries are located at :
Hawkesbury Central Library The Deerubbin Centre ( Ground Floor ) 300 George Street , Windsor Monday to Friday from 10am-5pm Saturday 9am-1pm Sunday closed
Richmond Branch Library 29 West Market Street , Richmond Monday to Friday 10am-1pm Saturday 10am-1pm
If you are interested in researching your ancestry and want to know more about local history , the Hawkesbury Family History Group continues to hold monthly meetings both in person and via Zoom on the second Wednesday of every month at 10am .
Other regular programs include :
• movies @ yourlibrary on the second Thursday of the month , 10am-12pm and 6-8pm
• Chess Club is on the first Thursday of the month , 2-4pm .
• Knit with Friends is on the last Friday of the month , 10am – 12pm .
• Storytime - Windsor - every Tuesday during the school term & Richmond - every Thursday . Both sessions start at 11am and are for ages 3-5yrs .
• Rhymetime - Windsor - every Monday during school term , from 10- 10.30am . For babies and toddlers .
• Justice of the Peace service - Windsor - every Tuesday , and Wednesday , 10am-12pm .
• Legal Clinic – Windsor - every Wednesday , 10am-1pm for free legal advice and support .
In April during the school holidays the library will be offering free writing workshops for school aged children and a reptile show for the whole family .
This year the monthly ‘ Tuesday Night Book Chat ’ book club and ‘ Third Thursday Book Club ’, is joined by a new online book club called , ‘ Let ’ s Talk About Books ’ that is run via Zoom , perfect for those who can ’ t make it into the library in person . Participation in our book clubs is free and open to anyone .
Don ’ t forget to check out our What ’ s On brochure that is available in hard copy at both libraries or online to keep updated with our programs and events , there is something for everyone !

Tech Savvy Seniors Classes in April and May 2022
Technology keeps on changing , so come along to one of the ‘ Tech Savvy Seniors ’ workshops being offered by Hawkesbury Library Service during April and May to help you keep up . If your smartphone or tablet baffles you , or you have difficulties downloading and using apps or emails , why not try these free workshops .
• Beginner : Introduction to Social Media Part 1 - Friday , 8 April 10am to midday
• Beginner : Introduction to Internet Part 1 - Tuesday , 19 April 10am to midday
• Beginner : Introduction Social Media Part 2 - Friday , 29 April 1oam to midday
• Introduction to Email - Monday , 2 May 11am to 1pm
• Beginner : Introduction to Smartphones & Tablets - Wednesday , 18 May 10am to midday
• Intermediate : Using Apps on your Smartphone & Tablet - Tuesday , 24 May 11am to 1pm
All sessions will be held at Hawkesbury Central Library , 300 George Street , Windsor .
