It ’ s show time !

It ’ s getting close to showtime for the 135th Hawkesbury Show , 6 - 8 May .
Entries are flowing in across categories such as art and craft , livestock , horticulture , fruit , vegetables and honey . After a hugely successful show last year with record entries and crowds , tickets are on sale at www . 123tix . com . au / events / 30836 / 2022- hawkesbury-show .
There are some great early bird ticket prices for family groups , singles and school groups . Discover NSW and Parents NSW vouchers can be used to buy tickets , leaving you extra cash to spend on your favourite ride or candy .
Your admission ticket covers lots of free activities and entertainment with access to all pavilions , the main arena spectacular entertainment , commercial displays , stage entertainment and livestock sheds .
You can experience the Walk an Alpaca activity at the new Hawkesbury Pavilion on Sunday and check out the alpacas , sheep and goats , together with spinning , weaving , felting and shearing displays at the same time .
Friday and Saturday night fireworks will light up your night along with Pitt Town ’ s Freestyle Kings performing their amazing motorbike stunts . Woodchopping is on Friday and Saturday nights in the main arena ; the Friday competition is a relay with multiple choppers performing different styles .
Last years Hawkesbury Wheelie Bin Race had the crowd cheering for their favourites and this will return with big dollars on the line for the winners . Watch

The combined Emergency Services , RAAF and Hawkesbury City Council display is a favourite stop for all .
The Taste of Hawkesbury Marquee is back with local producers displaying their goods and butchers will again be competing for bragging rights with Friday ’ s sausage and burger competitions .
Sheep shearing demonstrations , milking displays , sheep dog exhibition , reptile show , racing pigs , and the sand sculpturing display and children ’ s workshops will keep young and old enthralled .
Everyone ’ s favourite , the animal nursery , will have all the best baby farmyard friends for children . Poultry , cats , rats , dogs , aviary birds , alpacas , donkeys , cattle , sheep , goats , ducks , horses , reptiles and rabbits … animals make up a huge part of our show and only the best are on display .
The stage will be abuzz with dancers and other performers throughout the show , and the new HipHop competition has attracted Hiphoppers from around Sydney , all competing for the title of Hawkesbury HipHop Champion .
The Lego section is moving to a new pavilion with increased height for bigger structures and this year ’ s them is New Heights .
Behind the Domestic Animal Pavilion ,
look out for the giant Raymond Ram .
Philip Charley Pavilion will house a dynamic collection of lapidary , paper craft , woodwork , orchids , decorated cakes , knitting , honey , patchwork , cacti , jams , agriculture , wool and cross stitch .
A stunning millinery section is new this year , and is one not to be missed .
This year ’ s Community Corner will be home to volunteers from RuffTRACK , please support this local charity group who help young people within the community .
The Auxiliary will be selling tickets for their popular raffle , and they are also at the Richmond Marketplace on 6 - 7 April promoting the show .
The official show opening will take place on Saturday at 1:00pm followed by the Grand Parade , a wonderful showcase of our district ’ s products and businesses .
In the interests of health and safety for all visitors , please place your waste in the appropriate bins . We thank the RFS volunteers who do a great job in keeping the show grounds tidy , but please help where you can .
The HDAA committee and management are continually working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure patrons can enter the grounds with minimal holdups , but please be patient .
Please be advised that in accordance with the requirements and directives of NSW Police and Traffic NSW no right hand turn will be permitted to vehicular traffic between 9.00am - 11.30pm on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 May and 9:00am – 5:00pm on Sunday 8 May 2022 turning into Racecourse Road from both Richmond / Blacktown Road and Hawkesbury Valley Way .
Additionally , also during these hours no right hand turn will be permitted to vehicular traffic turning onto Richmond / Blacktown Road from Racecourse Road .
We are encouraging patrons catch the train , with Clarendon station right across the road from our Gate 1 entry . Sydney Trains will be putting on extra services to make travelling easier . We will also be providing a free onground parking facility .
