COMPUTER PALS FOR SENIORS CAN HELP YOU NAVIGATE TECHNOLOGY
We are a senior ’ s club with an emphasis on computer technology . We offer classes , hold monthly meetings and keep members up to date with a monthly newsletter .
We are always welcoming new members , from computer beginners to those with more advanced knowledge , the latter are our future trainers .

- are you comfortable using your Windows computer ?
- are you somewhat scared of computer technology ?
At Computer Pals we assist members with whatever computer technology they use . We conduct courses and provide the support they need to be confident through additional tutorials , workshops , discussion groups and a help desk .
The club started in 1998 and we have provided tuition for over 4,000 seniors in the community .
All courses , conducted in either a classroom setting or one-on-one as appropriate , incur a small fee to cover costs , which include a teaching and reference manual and other material .
The range of areas we currently support include :
- Windows , introduction , computer management , Word and Excel
- Smart Phone and Tablets – basics , and some other applications
- Use of government databases – such as MyGov
- Cloud computing
- Specialised courses such as Photobooks Computer Pals is a not-for-profit community organisation run entirely by volunteers . We have our own clubhouse which contains two classrooms and our own computer network .
As a seniors club we hold free monthly meetings for visitors and all members , providing a great opportunity for members to mingle and mix , and to catch up with old friends while learning to be comfortable with technology .
