Schools across Hawkesbury City are urged to join with hundreds of schools nationwide in registering for the national Ride2School Day event occurring on Friday , 25 March .
Join an estimated 350,000 who will ride , walk , scoot or skate to school to get active . The day sees students , teachers and parents discover the joy of riding and aims to kickstart healthy habits for the future .
Last year 878 schools registered for national Ride2School Day with 357,346 students taking part .
Activities included setting up a bike obstacle course on courts or ovals for students to enjoy before school starts ; bike parades ; decorate your bike awards and decorate your helmet awards at assembly for those taking part .
