Hawkesbury Cultural Services are OPEN !

We are now open and look forward to welcoming you back ! The museum , gallery and Windsor and Richmond libraries are now open in compliance with public health orders . All staff and visitors over 16 years old must be vaccinated , until stage 3 is reached , when we will eagerly welcome back all patrons .
Hawkesbury Regional Museum Hawkesbury Regional Museum opened to the public on Thursday 21 October to great relief and enthusiasm from staff and volunteers .
“ We are looking forward to welcoming back our visitors with - socially distanced open arms !” says Museum and Gallery Director , Kath von Witt .
“ We are in the final weeks to visit the popular St Matthew ’ s : The Cathedral of The Hawkesbury exhibition before the exhibition space is changed over to a new and vibrant exhibition : Paradise Lost ! This will celebrate the Paradise Gardens theme park , which enjoyed its hey-day in the 70s
Hawkesbury Regional Museum . and 80s in Cattai ( currently Riverside Oaks Golf Course ).”
During the lockdown , the museum took the opportunity to increase its accessibility via a NSW Government Infrastructure Grant . The museum now has automatic doors and improved access to the toilets . Additionally , the balcony at Howe House is being restored to its former glory , to maintain the integrity of the 1820s historic building facing onto Thompson Square .

Hawkesbury Regional Gallery
Hawkesbury Regional Gallery is reopening with the 2021 Hawkesbury Art Fair on Wednesday 8 November . With all the time that artists and artisans have had to think and reflect this year there is sure to be some wonderful works for people to see and buy .
This exhibition celebrates the creativity of our region and provides an opportunity for art groups in the area to showcase the work of their very best artists . Every year there is a range of work from ceramics to textiles , painting , drawing and printmaking . This is the one exhibition at the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery that works are for sale , so make sure you come along and support both the gallery and your favourite local artist !

Hawkesbury Library Service
Hawkesbury Library Service has reopened with library members now able to have access to all library collections , browse shelves and check items using the self-checkers . There is access to free Wi-Fi , public computers , and study spaces . While there are some limitations to hours of access we are continuing to run an expanded Housebound and Click & Collect services . This allows vulnerable members of our community continued access to the library .
Our Justice of the Peace ( JP ) service has also returned to in-person
The Deerubbin Centre houses the Library and Gallery .
