We hope to make this an annual event to bring joy and festivity to the Hawkesbury through local business shopfronts
We are looking for the best
The Hawkesbury Chamber of Commerce and the Hawkesbury Independent Magazine present the 2021 Best Christmas Shopfront competition .
“ After the year that everyone has endured with all its uncertainty , Hawkesbury Chamber of Commerce and all of us here at the Independent knew having businesses decorate their shopfronts for Christmas would be a perfect way to bring joy and festivity to our townships ,” Independent Group publisher , Julie Ryan , said .
“ It will be a beautiful end to a difficult year for our community .
“ We are hoping as many businesses as possible get involved so we can draw people from outside the area to view our Christmas-themed displays and shop . We plan to run this as an annual event to celebrate our community spirit .”
A trophy for 1st , 2nd and 3rd place will be presented along with cash prizes of $ 500 ( first ), $ 250 ( second ) and $ 125 ( third ). The three winners will be showcased in the January edition of the Independent and be part of Hawkesbury Chamber ’ s ongoing publicity initiatives . You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging you have been registered for judging .
Shopfronts are to be completed by 14 December for judging . Winners will be notified on 16 December and presented with their prizes .
Our Independent photographer will take photos of all the winning shopfronts with their owners to be showcased in the January print edition of the magazine , as well as on our website , social media platforms AND be showcased through all of Hawkesbury Chamber ’ s ongoing initiatives .
Together let ’ s make Hawkesbury sparkle for Christmas and bring in 2022 with a bang !

JUDGING : Once registered your shopfront will need to be completed for judging by the 15th December .
WINNERS : will be notified by the 16th December , 2021 and will appear in the January edition of the Independent .
