Hawkesbury Library Service COVID-19 operational update

Hawkesbury Library Service will open its Hawkesbury Central Library in Windsor and Richmond Branch Library to offer a Click & Collect service to library members from Monday 27 September with reduced opening hours .
Hawkesbury Central Library will be open for Click & Collect :
• Monday to Friday from 10am-1pm and 2-5pm
• Saturday 9am-1pm
• Sunday closed Richmond Branch Library will be open for Click & Collect :
• Monday to Friday 10am-1pm
• Saturday 10am-1pm
• Sunday closed
Hawkesbury Library Service will operate within COVID-19 safety guidelines for the safety of community members and staff . Your cooperation in observing these guidelines is required and appreciated .
The opening of the Click & Collect service is possible due to a recent exemption to the Public Health Order allowing public libraries across NSW to offer this service . CLICK & COLLECT Click & Collect enables library members to borrow items while complying with current health and safety directives . The service allows library members to pre-order and collect items during opening hours . Library members can reserve items online or over the phone on 4560 4460 during library opening hours .
Library members are also encouraged
to use the wide range of online resources including eBooks , eMagazines , eAudio , children ’ s games and activities at hawkesbury . nsw . gov . au / library / eLibrary . NEW LIBRARY MEMBERSHIPS Join online at / aurora . hawkesbury . nsw . gov . au / library / Join . aspx and call the library to complete your membership . RETURNING LIBRARY ITEMS Return chutes remain open and available at the Hawkesbury Central Library and the Richmond Branch Library . Items can be returned in a contactless COVID Safe way . SERVICE UPDATE The public access computers and Wi-Fi will not be available during this initial phase . Public access to the library collections , computers , print and copy services , newspapers and public Wi-Fi are not currently available . Meeting rooms , study rooms , desks and other seating spaces are not currently available .
ZOOM JUSTICE OF THE PEACE SERVICE
The Zoom online Justice of the Peace ( JP ) Service will continue to be offered . The service will be available every Tuesday from 10am to midday for the duration of the lockdown . The services that are available via Zoom are limited due to restrictions imposed by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice ; however the JP can continue to witness statutory declarations and affidavits via audio-visual link . The Justice of the Peace is not able to certify documents online .

Currently appointments are limited to 15 minute blocks but they can be extended if required . HOME DELIVERY This free delivery service will continue to be offered to vulnerable members of the Hawkesbury Local Government Area who due to age , disability or chronic illness are unable to visit the library access or the Library ’ s eResources . ZOOMTIME STORIES AND ZOOMTIME RHYMES
These programs for preschool aged children will continue to be offered weekly during lockdown .
Zoomtime Rhymes are held every Monday from 10am to10:30am and offer our younger audience the opportunity to rhyme and sing along to well-known nursery rhymes , and the opportunity to interact with other children from the safety of their home . The session is fast paced and jammed full of songs and rhymes .
Zoomtime Stories are held every Thursday from 11am to 11:30am and is a fun and engaging event for children aged from 3-5 years , who enjoy listening to stories . The session includes stories , songs and rhymes based around a specific theme .
The free events will be held every week while the libraries remain closed .

The Zoom links are provided when the booking is made . eRESOURCES In addition to Click & Collect , members can access Library eResources including eBooks , Audiobooks , eMagazines and video streaming via our website .
