At the time of going to press , more local government areas were being placed under new restrictions to curb the transmission of the more infectious Delta strain of the COVID-19 virus .
Nearby Blacktown City residents were locked down in their suburbs with travel bans as early as 24 July as “ areas of concern ” in western Sydney were continually being identified by NSW Health .
So far , the Hawkesbury has not been specifically identified as a “ hot spot ” or “ area of concern ” – something we ’ d like to keep that way -- as we enter another four weeks of the State Government ’ s lockdown restrictions .
It ’ s comforting to know that Hawkesbury community services continue to provide support during this time .
