Feeling the ‘ McLovin ’ from Nova Employment

Fans are usually drawn to the burgers , fries and shakes but now customers have a few new favourites at McDonald ’ s Bligh Park - and that ’ s the staff .
Jennifer Parfitt , Operations Manager of three Hawkesbury McDonald ’ s restaurants is focusing on building a more inclusive workforce , and it ’ s become a big hit with customers .
Liam , 19 , was employed as a crew
Liam , also at Bligh Park , has learnt several roles in a few short months . member last month but has already learnt several stations including fries , product prep , grills , order taker and order assembler .
Ms Parfitt said , “ Liam has a very friendly persona and a good focus on customer satisfaction .”
And Greg , 28 , who was hired as a crew member three months ago , hosts in the customer areas , as well as performing cleaning duties – is already in line for a promotion .
“ Greg is currently working on upskilling himself by being trained to take orders on the register and cash handling ,” said Ms Parfitt .
“ Greg has a wonderful natural focus on customers and always strives to do his best and is very eager .”
Greg ’ s efforts are getting noticed . After receiving two compliments from customers in one day , Greg was awarded a ‘ People Month ’ certificate .
“ August is ‘ People Month ’ at McDonald ’ s ,” explained Ms Parfitt .
“ It ’ s where we celebrate and recognise our people in the business .”
Customer Steph Fitzgerald said , “ When I needed help on the kiosk to order my meal , without even asking for any help , Greg approached me and guided me through it .”
“ NOVA provides us with a bigger talent pool to choose from ,” said Ms Parfitt , who hired during NOVA ’ s annual 100 jobs in 100 days campaign .
“ It increases trust and engagement , and just seems like the right thing to do !”
