Mill Creek Students “Make an Impact” at Elementary Schools
This fall, Mill Creek will have students going to each of our cluster schools to help open doors and
greet students/parents for every home football game. The first visit was to Fort Daniels Elementary.
We sent Harvey The Hawk, several cheerleaders and Paw the Mountain lion (Fort Daniels mascot) to
assist with their Fun Run Pep Rally. The faculty and staff, but most importantly the children who attend Fort Daniel (or "The Fort" as they call it), were so appreciative of the students being there. Many
thanks to: Taylor Schlanger (Harvey Hawk), Caroline Awtry, Ashley Hodges, Megan Farrell, Kendall
Schwefler, Sydney Sawyer, Stephanie Dixon & Griffin Holloway (Paws the Mountain lion).
Next, we sent several of our students to visit Duncan Creek Elementary. Everyone had a great
time, and the children were so excited to see students from Mill Creek at their school. Duncan Creek
was kind enough to allow Caroline, Kendall and Andrew on their morning announcements, which was
fun for everyone! The students who represented The Creek were Kendall Schwefler, Caroline Awtry,
Daniel David, Kyle Stepherson, DeVozea Felton and Micah Bull.
This past Friday, we sent students to Ivy Creek Elementary. With the exception of the one student
who had on a Dacula football jersey and wanted to let us know that "Dacula was better than Mill
Creek" we had a blast (but even that was funny!). The students on this trip were Ben Otiwu, Micah
Bull, David Daniel, DeVozea Felton, Morgan Wagoner and Kimberly Pottinger. Thank you to everyone who has assisted in helping Mill Creek kids "Make an Impact" for students, staff and our
community.
