Congratulations to the Mill Creek Business Education Department for successfully completing Industry Certification! Industry Certification is a program designed by The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Georgia Department of Education to recognize and promote high quality Business and Computer Science programs. This is a rigorous, year long, project that involves advisory committees, project-based instruction, career development activities, and active student participation in FBLA. Mill Creek had the only business education program in Gwinnett County to earn the certification this year. Thank you to John Sorah, Callie Echols, Faith Davenport, Jarrod Shirley, Tom Kutter, and Kevin Oglesby for all of their hard work and dedication. HAWK HERALD Mill Creek’s Math team travels to North Gwinnett four times a year and our finale is always at Norcross High School in March. The kids compete against a total of thirteen other schools - many times over topics that they will only see at competitions (game theory, taxicab geometry, markov chains) and usually do pretty well. We came in 4th place this year, behind Gwinnett School of Math Science and Technology, Chamblee High School and Norcross. We are very proud of our math team students!
