We hear from our customers that they would like to have separate "senders" for messages they receive about our announcements of new features or changes versus our various promotions. So we designed a separate "face" to represent our marketing efforts.
You will continue to receive our important announcements etc from IMVUInc while you will see IMVU_Offers sending you information about any ongoing sales on IMVU.
As with our other personas like IMVU Inc, missgreenbacks (VIP) and IMVU Badger, messages from IMVU_offers also can not be flagged or replied to.
Edited to add: The new persona can not be blocked - just like IMVU Inc, Badger etc.
