Police recorded hate crime

By way of comparison, Figure 2.4 shows that in 2015/16, the proportion of overall crime recorded by
the police accounted for by these categories was very different:

 public order offences accounted for five per cent of all notifiable offences compared with 56 per
cent of hate crime; and
 violence against the person accounted for 26 per cent of all offences compared with a third of
hate crimes.
