‹ Publisher s Note On the shoot for Sam Concepcion in Makati City. When news broke out on the riveting scams, I can’t help but scream ”dorobo”. When news wound up with the first Philippine’s “Ms World,” I heaved a sigh sa wakas (finally). Congesting all views in mind, I told it, “not all at the tip of my need for wonderful stories.” I get the dammed ones; notoriety; and the strings of lie I have never imagined. But as I wish for, the best was in this bunch of creatives, who juggled all requirements on hand with time management. The insightful rowdiness buoyed them up. One thing great are the pages in superb shoo-in for advertising stake, combining standard glossy output+contemporary design+youthful verve. The pages both ooze and booze with creativity. Cover boy Sam Concepcion is a good material himself. His good looks remain a standout and the brilliant answers to the Q&A made us all more than star struck. What’s with sneakers and rubber shoes? What’s with people who love speed? I am sure you would find the selfie and the OOTD pages “inspiring”, same with week-long fashion young people love to don on. And not all are blessed to be travelling from Camiguin, Bohol to Middle East and probably look for a scenic Korean restaurant for the fresh offerings. And when you lie down, the Indie music delivers the newness of arrangements now popularly heard. In other words, we came up with tastefully conceived graphic design and layout in pages you’d feel perked up. And this is not possible without the leadership of the editorial heads and the staff whose cooperation is tightly hewn. Need I say that it is always pride and pleasure to be working with Communication Arts majors? Go spread the word. Maria Congee Gomez
