Shoes, they are made to cover and protect our feet against the foreign elements
around us. But today that is not the case, shoes nowadays are created to make someone
stylish and noticeable. No matter what brand it is, from the “Swoosh“ to the “Three Stripes“,
from Balenciaga to Christian Louboutin, they are designed to make a person look more
presentable.
From 1985, the year that the
first Air Jordan was released, had
caused some mass hysteria to the
sneaker fanatics. Alleged killings
were reported caused by sneakers
that were overpriced back then,
those who were killed include
children.
There are people who are just “in” for shoe
collecting; they are called “sneakerheads”.
These are people who have the knowledge
to know if the kicks you are wearing are fake
or not. They usually collect Nike dunks and
Air Jordans, which are famous sneakers, but
brands are nonfactor here.
They buy it from stores all over the
world. They camp for it, they sleep in front of
those outlets just to be the first in line. Most of
their collection are limited edition sneakers,
the likes of “Nike Air Yeezy 2” which cost
originally for $250 but resellers sell them for
almost $90,000.
