But today that is not the case, shoes nowadays are created to make someone stylish and noticeable. No matter what brand it is, from the “Swoosh“ to the “Three Stripes“, from Balenciaga to Christian Louboutin, they are designed to make a person look more presentable. From 1985, the year that the first Air Jordan was released, had caused some mass hysteria to the sneaker fanatics. Alleged killings were reported caused by sneakers that were overpriced back then, those who were killed include children. There are people who are just “in” for shoe collecting; they are called “sneakerheads”. These are people who have the knowledge to know if the kicks you are wearing are fake or not. They usually collect Nike dunks and Air Jordans, which are famous sneakers, but brands are nonfactor here. They buy it from stores all over the world. They camp for it, they sleep in front of those outlets just to be the first in line. Most of their collection are limited edition sneakers, the likes of “Nike Air Yeezy 2” which cost originally for $250 but resellers sell them for almost $90,000. 59
