Ever thought of why people are posting their old pictures in social media sites? Baby
pictures, old fashion trends to name a few are the examples of what people have been posting.
But this is something different; these are the events that happened from early 2013 until today. No
matter if it is bad or newsworthy, it is still a throwback.
Tubbataha Reef
Remember the USS Guardian, an American mine counter
measure ship that ran ground at Tubbataha Reef? Tubbataha
Reef is a protected marine park in Sulu and a World Heritage Site.
Lolong the crocodile
Another vessel struck the marine park two months after the
USS Guardian.
On April 20, tt was a Chinese fishing vessel with 20 fishermen on
board. They faced illegal pouching and attempted bribery.
Who would also forget that gigantic crocodile that measures 20 ft
3 in and weighed 2,370 lbs? Lolong was found on September 2011
in a creek in the province of Agusan Del Sur . He was hunted for at
least three weeks and it needed at least 100 people to carry him on
land. Lolong was suspected of eating a farmer and a 12 year old
who were missing those days, but no signs of human remains after
scientists examined his stomach contents. Lolong was found dead
at around 8 pm on February 2013 ,10. The necropsy revealed he had
died of pneumonia and cardiac arrest, which was aggravated by a
fungus infection and stress.
Standoff between Malaysia and the Philippines is not about the
Spratlys on February 12, it was about the “royal army” that landed
in Sabah, Malaysia that created tension between the two countries. LPG explosion
Despite the fact the China is on the front row of getting the Spratly
islands over the South east Asian countries, there is no stopping that
Malaysia wants to be a superior in terms of Islamic armies against the
Islams of Mindanao.
May 31 was not a good day for those who lived in Two
Serendra condominium in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. The
explosion killed three persons and injured five. The explosion was
said it was caused by LPG explosion, coincidence? Remember the
Glorietta explosion in 2007? Both buildings are from Ayala land and
both events was caused by LPG explosion.
