elcome to our spring and summer edition of Kitchen . I have been overwhelmed by the positive response we have received from the first two issues of our magazine .
It seems to have been a long and cold winter , so I ’ m really looking forward to the longer , and hopefully warmer , days . Our third issue is packed full of new and seasonal products , recipes and guides that showcase this wonderful time of year .
Great Britain is renowned for tea drinking . I love a cuppa at any time of the day , so I hope you enjoy our tea feature on page 38 , with expert advice from Comins – our local tea-house . It ’ s amazing how many styles of teapots are available to brew that humble cuppa !
We gave our in-store customers a treat over the Christmas period with Great British Bake Off star Val Stones popping in for a book signing and to demonstrate how to make and decorate Christmas biscuits . I hope you try Val ’ s Lemon Layer Cake recipe on page 24 , it ’ s quick and easy and you can even cheat a little and buy the filling !
Do take the time to read all the other seasonal recipes , advice , products and special features . Maybe over a cup of tea and a slice of Val ’ s cake !
