What makes them special
• The oven glove and gauntlet are both
treated with a steam and grease barrier.
The steam barrier prevents the cotton
from conducting heat so quickly on
coming into contact with water.
• The stripe for the Tom Kerridge range
was inspired by the character Lance
Corporal Jones, from Dad’s Army. The
team at Lantex had been looking for a
traditional butcher’s stripe like the one
worn by the character and it so happened
that their weaving partner, John Spencer,
had produced something just like it.
