IMS

IMS summary

IMS is Intra-Mural Sport, which is friendly matches against the other 15 halls in Loughborough, where everyone is welcome to play whether you are a beginner or play at a competitive level. There are women’s, men’s and mixed leagues,

which consist of a wide range of sports, varying from Hockey to Handball. One day events run throughout the year, these are a great opportunity to get involved in a sport you haven’t necessarily played before, such as Lacrosse which is being introduced this year, so get involved and try something new!

Overview of the year

In Harry French this year our main improvement has been in men’s sports, in which we jumped 9 places in the hall rankings, finishing in 3rd. The guys have exceeded all expectations in football, rugby and cricket, finishing 1st, 2nd and 2nd respectively. The girls have had a successful year, especially in netball,

where we won our first game in 5 years. We also thrashed the other halls in rush hockey (one day event), despite the entire team being hungover! The success of the girls year can be seen in the results from rush hockey, rounders and rugby 7s where we finished 1st, 3rd and 3rd respectively.
