Music serves as a timeless and cross-cultural means of connection, uniting people across generations and cultural backgrounds. Through the integration of Sonic Architecture’ s sound sculptures in outdoor public areas, we facilitate a rhythmic exchange between art, nature, and the human experience.
For more than 40 years, artist / musician team Bill and Mary Buchen have designed public art installations and interactive sound sculptures. Their works are featured in parks, schools, science centers, transit stations, children’ s museums and playgrounds around the world.
Elegantly stylized and developed through years of performance and study, these beautiful sound sculptures are designed to reflect the richness and depth of the world’ s percussive traditions.
The sound sculptures of Sonic Architecture are handcrafted from durable stainless steel and built to withstand harsh environments and last for a lifetime of play.
