Inspired by the local history , culture , and industry of the New Orleans area , Coquille Park ’ s destination playground was designed to create something memorable and iconic for the ‘ Big Easy .’ Six outdoor musical instruments arranged along a meandering pathway ( complete with a musical staff and notes ) invite parents and children to create their own impromptu ‘ jam sessions ’, much like what has been done in the local jazz and blues clubs for more than a century .
