GENERAL DIY
HP Will set for new heights
Will Professional Tools’ pliers are often regarded as the leading plier brand in
South Africa, however, the company offers retailers many other products within
the Will brand – giving shop owners peace of mind about quality and service.
SCREWDRIVERS
SPIRIT
LEVELS
Measuring tools are
the most recent addition to the
expanding range of Will products; a category of
tools where the company feels quality is the fundamental
factor in ensuring success. Using an inferior quality spirit level or
measuring tape essentially defeats the purpose of using one in the first
place. This factor is what led it to partner with a leading manufacturer
of spirit levels in Austria, to ensure that the spirit levels it offers are
extremely accurate and live up to the trust that is so often placed on
these tools. It is an excellent addition to the range of tools that Will offers
and it looks forward to broadening the range of measuring tools, with a
few new and exciting items in the pipeline.
The addition of screwdrivers to
the Will range of tools allows the
company to penetrate into other
markets as well as complement the
existing range of tools that it offers. Quality was
a key factor in the development of a screwdriver range. With
SABS approval still pending, although close to completion,
the current configuration of a 6-piece screwdriver set seems
to have paved the way for not only new configurations, but
also loose and VDE insulated screwdrivers. The Will 6-piece
set has proved very successful in the South African market
and the company feels the quality and price combination was
instrumental in this success.
PLIERS
This is where it all started over 40 years ago for Will Professional Tools, and this category of tools
made Will the name it is today. Pliers are still the primary focus of the business and the company has
become the ‘go to guys’ when looking for pliers. Currently imported from Germany to ensure the
same levels of quality can be maintained, the pliers have become very competitive in the market and
recent data has shown a big increase in DIY users purchasing Will pliers, which is testimony to the
fact that a better quality tool is certainly in demand. Growing in the DIY market has been a goal of
theirs for many years and it’s great to see this segment of the market growing exponentially. One of
the factors leading to this growth has been the recent deployment of the company’s concept stands
in retail stores across the country.
KUKKO PULLERS AND EXTRACTORS
The end of 2013 saw a distributor agreement signed between
Harry P. Will S.A. (Pty) Ltd and KUKKO Kleinbongartz & Kaiser
oHG, authorising Harry P Will to import and distribute KUKKO
Pullers and extractors into southern Africa. HA
Pliers are still the
primary focus of the
business and the company
has become the ‘go to guys’
when looking for pliers.
