A day of
innovation
It was once again time for the
Vermont Sales annual Open Day at
its premises in Johannesburg.
The two-day Johannesburg event was followed up with events
in Cape Town and Durban. This year it is estimated that more
than 2 000 visitors attended the national shows and experienced
innovative new products, first-hand.
Besides exciting product specials and deals, the showstopper
was definitely the Kreg demonstrations. The Kreg jig has been in
South Africa for some time now and was lauded by visitors as one
of the greatest inventions. Mark Owen from Kreg attended the
Vermont Open Days and explained that the Kreg jig is 100% unique
and saves DIY’ers and contractors lots of time.
“Drill. Drive. Done.@, is Kreg’s international slogan and to help
users achieve this very simple solution, all of the major products
are supplied with an instructional DVD and the company supports
the products further with online instructional videos. “We want to
support the consumer and retailer,” says Owen.
It is also clear that Kreg supports it local distributor. “There is no
one better in South Africa to distribute Kreg’s products,” says Owen,
adding that, “Vermont is best at what they do and always first on
the ball. We would not partner with anyone else.”
