HARBOR NEWS Seacoast Yacht Sales Expands Operations into Channel Islands Harbor S eacoast Yacht Sales coowner Brian Coryat, is a well-known pioneer of Internet marketing since 1995 when he launched the Internet Directory Listing Service. After that he created Web-Ignite, and ValueClick where he earned the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2000 for eCommerce, and more recently Local Market Launch. This tech savvy entrepreneur is an avid angler and boater as well, and with the advent of Seacoast Yachts Sales in Santa Barbara he instituted a new way of reaching clients by taking his yacht brokerage into the new ‘millenium’ by putting everything into the “cloud”. Recently, Coryat partnered with Bob Nahm, one of the most well respected yacht brokers in the boating community. Nahm is the co-owner and manager of the new Seacoast of Channel Islands. “We have a sales team with combined experience of over 55 years of yacht sales in southern California and between us we have virtually sold every name brand boat, power and sail,” said Nahm. Joining Nahm are Bill Kahn, Craig Watkins, Rick Christensen and Tim Broue to complete the team located at Channel Islands Landing Marina in the Harbor. We are working to be more efficient in the yacht world. With Google drives and docks in the cloud, we can be virtually paperless. And, by using the “cloud” we can do 2 Coryat, who says he has been boating his whole life, currently owns Stars, a Tollycraft 57, but he is looking for a newer boat. He is also interested in getting a J105 to race in Santa Barbara. “Yacht sales are about building relationships. Bob (Nahm) and I have worked together on boat deals over the years and he and his team have the experience needed to move the business forward,” stated Coryat. Co-owner and manager Nahm currently serves as Secretary/ Treasurer for the Channel Islands Harbor Foundation. He was an integral part of the Foundation when funds were being raised to build the Channel Islands Boating Center. He also was instrumental in the redevelopment of Channel Islands Landing Marina and Boatyard under the ownership of Frank Butler.
