CAMERA CLUB
The Boca Grande Camera Club is “the place”
to bring your camera this season! The
club offers opportunities to improve your
photographic skills and enjoy the company
of fellow photographers as you listen to
professional photographers speak, discuss
photography, participate in workshops and
share photos. An exciting series of talks,
workshops, local photographic trips and
events are planned. As always, some of the
more experienced photographers are willing
to mentor and share as needed. Club meetings
are held at 9:00am in the Houghton Room of
the Community Center from November to April.

THE BOCA GRANDE
DUPLICATE BRIDGE CLUB
ACBL sanctioned duplicate bridge games are
offered at the community center on Monday
and Wednesday afternoons from October
to May. Starting time for both games is
1:00pm. Lessons are offered on Monday and
Wednesday mornings. On Mondays, there
will be lessons for novice players (players
who know how to play bridge but have
limited or no experience at duplicate), as
well as for beginners (players who have
yet to learn the greatest card game ever).
Wednesdays’ lessons are for intermediate
players (players who want to improve their
bridge skills). The goal for both the games
and the lessons is to provide a friendly,
supportive environment for all our players.

CAREGIVER LUNCH BUNCH
The Lunch Bunch is a peer support group for
caregivers, offering the opportunity to share
experiences, laugh, relax, and exchange
knowledge and resources. Bring a bag lunch
or something to snack on, and take a short
break. Your loved one needs you at your
best. From mid-October to mid-April, the
group meets every Friday at Noon in the
Special Interest Room. New members are
welcome; there is no cost to attend. Call

GRANDE GLEE
Take center stage singing your favorite song!
Practices begin Friday, November 3, 2017 in
the Woman's Club room from 9:30-11:00am.
You have the opportunity to belt your heart
out as the audience goes wild. All the best
singers on Boca Grande are your backup
ensemble; the harmony is amazing. Together,
we will work on one new song at every
practice, starring a different lead singer
each week. You choose the song you want
to star in and the rest of the cast will back
you up. It’s a chance to improve your vocal
quality while having fun. Sharon Ponte and
her keyboard will warm us up, rehearsing
last week’s number and working on one new
song each week. There’s no memorizing.
No stress. Just a chance to beam in the
spotlight in a fun, comfortable and
constructive environment. Sessions are $30,

THE HAPPY HOOKERS RUG
HOOKING, NEEDLEPOINT
AND KNITTING CLUB
The Happy Hookers meet every Monday at
1:00pm in the Houghton Room. Anyone
who enjoys the company of fellow hookers
or a little advice while working on their
craft is welcome. There are no dues and new
