& ƒamily YOUTH YOUTH & FAMILY PHOTOS BY: THE BOCA BEACON YOUTH FISHING TOURNAMENTS SP ONSORED BY THE BOCA BEACON, BOCA GRANDE MARINA AND LEE COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION Saturdays | September 9, 2017, January 20 & April 28, 2018 | 9am – 11am Boca Grande Fishing Pier - North end of the island | Free for children ages 15 & under Grab your fishing pole and tackle box and come join the family fun at our youth fishing tournaments. Tournaments are for boys and girls ages 15 and under. Bait will be provided (no lures allowed). All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian for this event. This is a catch-and-release tournament. Registration is not necessary; just be at the pier ready to fish by 9:00am. Refreshments are not provided so please bring what you need to drink and eat. HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL SP ONSORED BY THE FRIENDS OF BOCA GRANDE COMMUNITY CENTER AND LEE COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION Saturday, October 28, 2017 | 12:45pm - 3:00pm | Free | Boca Grande Community Center Grounds Kids, bring your parents to the carnival for some fun and games. The costume parade begins at 12:45pm. Carnival games, inflatable slides, obstacle course, cakewalk and much more will begin immediately following the parade. The inflatables are all sponsored by the Boca Grande Woman’s Club. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available. One bag of INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED SOFT CANDY (NOT HARD CANDY) per child is appreciated (please drop off candy no later than Wednesday, October 25th). Cakes are also needed for the cake walk (please drop off cakes on Saturday, October 28th, between 9:00am and 12:45pm at the community center). If you would like to volunteer to staff a game booth, please call the Boca Grande Community Center at 941-964-2564. TURKEY HOOP SHOOT SP ONSORED BY THE BOCA BEACON, BOCA GRANDE MARINA AND LEE COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION Saturday, November 18, 2017 | 10:00am | Free Admission | Community Center Basketball Courts The Turkey Hoop Shoot contest is free to children and adults. The age divisions are: coed 4 & under, coed 5-6, separate male and female age divisions for 7-8, 9-10, 11-14 and 15 & up. Prizes will be awarded to the first place winner of each division. All children must be supervised for this event. Contest will be 15 shots from several locations on the basketball court.
