Hanoi Oi Summer 2014 | Page 2

from the clo

Hello everyone, and welcome to the latest edition of the Hanoi Oi! You’ll notice I’ve had a play with the layout, and have changed from a PDF to an online format (to save your inboxes from those big bulky files). Please let me know what you think – I’m very keen to get some feedback about what you’d like included, how it looks, and any other suggestions you might have.

In this edition of Hanoi Oi you’ll find some great “Top Picks” from our outgoing friends, Michael Wilson, Fiona Smith, Paul Hollis, Angela Pickett, Linda Birchley (and Quentin Birchley, my esteemed predecessor), and Peter Ruffy. These Hanoi veterans will be greatly missed, but we won’t let them leave without spilling at least some of their secrets.

Summer is a bit of a funny time of year in Hanoi. The huge school break means that lots of families seize the opportunity to take nice long holidays, and those without school age kids zip off somewhere to escape the Hanoi heat.

The next issue will come to you in August and then every second month thereafter.

All the best from your new CLO,
