PayPal Makes Contactless Payment Easier

PayPal recently announced a new feature in its mobile app that enables customers to make contactless payments using QR codes. Codes can be scanned either from a printout or a screen using your phone’s camera. While QR codes are already fairly common, e.g. with companies like Visa and Mastercard, they are typically only available to large retailers. Since everyone is able to set up a PayPal account, even smaller merchants can now provide contactless payments at stores, farmers’ markets, and anywhere else.
