have absolutely no tolerance for people stealing from others and I understand where you’re coming from. People have stolen from me in the past and it

does not feel good. You put so much love and hard work into each of your creations that it’s natural to want to protect them from theft.

With that said, I still would strongly advise against using watermarks on your pictures. Unfortunately, the cons far outweigh the pros here and watermarking your images does not protect you from ill-intentioned people. By using them you’re not getting in the way of anyone but yourself and your ability to get sales.

Tip: If you are selling prints or digital files, always use the lowest resolution possible in your listings so your photos still look clear, but can’t be used to be printed in a bigger format. You can also use mockups to display your designs in your listings without displaying the original file. Be smart about it and report anyone you suspect of having stolen your designs (remember, no tolerance), but focus on what is the most important: people falling in love with your products and making purchases.
