"Getting a partner to launch a lawn decor brand was extremely scary for me. I was ambitions, but also afraid of being accountable to someone because I still didn't fully believe in my capabilities.

To make things even scarier, she was investing around $18,000 into the brand. Luckily, I'm not one to turn down an opportunity. I was more afraid of missing out than I was of failing. Ha!

We partnered together and ended up doing really well with the brand. Eventually, I sold my share of the business to her, invested in this magazine, and here we are today!

Fear will always block you from visualizing happy outcomes. Just go for it and take the first step. You don't need to see what the 2nd and 3rd steps are in order to move forward. You'll figure out each step along the way."

"Not quitting either my 'day job' (helped to pay for industrial sewing machine) nor my daydreams helped me to continue creating. It isn't the mini income (part-time maker), it's the joy of making and getting better at making, business, marketing, and exploring that keeps me going."
