“ Selangor sees huge potential for the halal industry at the international level . If God wills it , in March 2022 , Invest Selangor will participate in the promotion at Expo 2020 Dubai . It will involve all GLCs and big companies in Selangor , bringing them to West Asia to look for strategic partners , investors and promote their products .”

Zawawi then shared Selangor offered tax incentives and provided a dedicated platform , Invest Selangor , to assist these foreign investors in setting up their businesses in the State .
Acknowledging the importance of SMEs in the halal industry , the State also offers the micro-credit financing scheme to these business owners through Hijrah Selangor . Halal International Selangor and Invest Selangor are also available to facilitate these SMEs by providing guidance and consultation .

Shawlpublika is another big name in the local fashion scene . During the visit to its outlet in Setia Alam , the founders of Shawlpublika , Iskandar A . Suffian , and Nur Hidayu Zorkafli , shared the story behind the brand establishment .
They acknowledged the growing competition in the modest fashion segment and believed they had to strengthen their online business and maintain their quality to stay competitive .

The media delegates also visited Klinik Ajwa Seksyen 7 , V ’ Asia Cosmetic and Healthcare , Poliklinik Amalmedik Damansara and Selcare Clinic Seksyen 13 .
They were briefed regarding the new circumcision method at Poliklinik Amalmedik and had the opportunity to take the booster jabs at Klinik Ajwa . These various services offered by the private and State-owned clinics showed Selangor ’ s strong position in the healthcare sector .
V ’ Asia Cosmetic and Healthcare also had its office in Shah Alam . The company was established in 2011 as a pioneer business in the invention and manufacturing of cosmetics and natural health products .
Dato ’ Azril Mohd Radzi , CEO and Founder of V ’ Asia , shared that halal was an essential aspect to Muslim consumers , and non-Muslim consumers had also started to look for halal products in the market . He believed the halal certification by JAKIM was recognised globally , and the department was strict when it came to compliance .

Selangor also offers the State ’ s entrepreneurs a Shariah-compliant micro-credit financing programme .
Normaiza Yahya , the acting CEO of Yayasan Hijrah Selangor , said the objective of Yayasan Hijrah Selangor was to develop the middle class in Selangor through the micro-credit financing which was offered to entrepreneurs and small businesses .
