If life burns you , it shouldn ’ t kill you . Remember , you are a Phoenix . Rise from the ashes and higher than the last time ”. equally as important as training .

How are you managing your training during this pandemic ? Whenever possible , I try to get sessions in with my coach . However , during full lockdowns , I would train on my own , wherever possible .
How do you manage stress and demotivation ? I manage stress by allowing myself to feel what I feel and just do what I feel like doing . If I feel like I need to rest , I ’ ll rest . If I need to sleep , I will sleep . If I need to just relax and watch my favourite TV series while eating my favourite food , I will do it .
When it comes to demotivation , I would often read old articles about myself and watch more wrestling . I envision myself being there and making it – look at old photos and successes , remind myself why I started , how I ’ ve held on , and where I want to be .
In your opinion , what are things that a pro wrestler should do to keep or sustain their momentum ? Always stay in shape , physically and endurance wise . And you need to always find a way to stay relevant and put out your name .
You ’ re listed in Forbes ’ 30 Under-30 . What is your next target as a pro wrestler ? Definitely to make it to the big leagues , like the WWE .
Personally , is there any quote or words which resonate with you as a pro wrestler ? How do you relate to the said quote ? “ If life burns you , it shouldn ’ t kill you . Remember , you are a Phoenix . Rise from the ashes and higher than the last time ”.
Whatever people or life throws at me , I remind myself that I will not be swayed from my goals or be defeated . Always stay true to myself and my end goal . Focus on that and rise beyond everything that gets in my way .
Do you have any message or advice to other hijab-wearing individuals who want to pursue wrestling ? I would advise to not look at the hijab as some sort of excuse or obstacle . Not just in wrestling , but whatever your passion and interests are , go and pursue it . Do it . It is your life to live , and not for others to tell you how to live it . At the end of the day , you have to do what you feel is the best for you .
In general , what are some challenges to the wrestling scene in Malaysia ? There is an unfortunate lack of support by locals to local pro wrestling . They are too used to being exposed to watching the WWE . Everything else or the minor leagues will always be compared to the WWE . We will eventually be looked down on .
What is your hope for the wrestling scene in Malaysia ? To garner more local support to give a chance and take a look at how we ’ ve grown . We ’ ve been receiving praises from veterans from across the world . It has the potential to be a big thing , but it all starts with local support .
