The triangular pennants are 2-7 / 8 ” across the top and tapers to a length of about 6 ”. The photos appear to be identical to those used for the Sporting News issues of the same period . The pennants list the player ’ s name and team . Johnson finished his career w / a record of 417-279 , a career ERA of 2.17 and a then all-time record of 3,509 strikeouts along w / the still-standing MLB record of 110 career shutouts and was part of the inaugural class of five which was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 .
