He ’ s remembered for drafting the Waldorf Statemen , a two page press release in response to the contempt of Congress charges against the Hollywood Ten , members of the entertainment world who refused to co-operate with the House on Un-American Activities Committee ( HUAC ) effectively announcing their blacklisting with the major motion pictures studios .
