An article from the Sat . Nov 30 , 1912 edition of the Reading Times reports from “ Kutztown ” that “ Wednesday Night The Democrats Held Their Salt River Parade And Ox Roast .” The post-election event drew 2,500 people who feasted on an 800 pound ox and the paper noted that “ It Was One Of The Greatest Demonstrations This Town Had Since The Election Of Grover Cleveland In 1884 .” Some fading on gold lettering on ribbon , w / some faint scattered spotting on cello .
