Backs feature text for that specific subject and overprinted are jigsaw puzzle lines as these could be cut apart and used as a puzzle . Back is blank . Card title is “ Dive Bombers Sink Returning Japs .” The one-of-a-kind piece is for the classic card set issued 1941-42 featuring 132 cards . It covered current events of the war in a much less gruesome way compared to Horrors Of War , focusing more on the bravery of Allied service men and leaders . Small moisture spot on center plane . From a set of 24 for the Superman bread campaign , these were bread loaf inserts issued by several different bakeries . Reverse has imprint reading “ Saylor ’ s Bread - Coming Soon - Superman Bread - Watch For It !” Title is “ Poison In Mid-Air ” w / scene of Superman flying toward a dirigible to intercept a plummeting package headed for a water tower . Story text back . Still intact at right edge is pledge stamp . There were a total of eight different numbered stamps and this is # 3 “ I Promise To Save Tin Foil For National Defense .” A complete set of eight stamps were to be sent in as enrollment in the “ Superman Junior Defense League Of America ” and upon doing so , you received a club badge . Much of back has trace of staining , some shows through on the front . Some creasing and tiny tear bottom right corner . All art remains strong and bold . VG . These cards are rare w / stamp still intact and this is the toughest Superman card set to assemble as such .
