Other side has eagle perched atop an American w / anchor , cannon and three mast ship . Ornate design and pleasing gradient of light to dark brown make this an interesting piece . Oval framed high relief portraits of George & Martha w / polychrome dotted backgrounds and gilt accented borders featured on these highly ornate vases . Each has hand painted blue floral flourishes throughout . Martha has some loss of gold application but was never as highly decorated , VF . George has only minor wear to gold , Exc . Lavender federal eagle transfers w / ornately framed text on front “ To Washington The Deliverer ”. Only minor transfer wear and no chips , cracks or signs of restoration . Exc . Rex & Patti Stark Collection . ( I ) $ 200.00 20 . JOHN ADAMS OUTSTANDING , LARGE & RARE LIVERPOOL CREAMWARE JUG . 11 ” tall bulbous pitcher . c . 1798 . Transfer features oval portrait of the second President flanked by Liberty and Agricultural goddess w / cherub and Liberty Cap on pole above . In banner below is “ John Adams President Of The United States .” Other side features polychrome accented three mast ship captioned “ John Adams .” Surface cleaning w / minor transfer touch ups most notably on the streamer at top of ship mast . Likely has spout and handle restoration but the seamless nature of the work makes it very difficult to tell . Ultimately this pitcher displays beautifully .
