Features a cartoon donkey yelling into a radio microphone “ I ’ m For Roosevelt ”. In the years following , the Puyallup Fairgrounds were taken over by the federal government for the war effort during WWII , and in 1942 the site was used as an internment camp for over 7,000 Japanese-Americans .
