Meet the Cast

Emily Ash( Amber Von Tussle) Arguably the first show that led to her destiny of becoming a lifelong theatre nerd, Emily has been obsessed with Hairspray for ages and couldn’ t be more excited to be a part of this production! She was most recently seen on the TCR stage in Beauty and the Beast( Silly Girl, Wolf, and various dancing flatware). Earlier shows include Carrie: The Musical, Something Rotten!, Rock of Ages, and Mamma Mia! with TCR, Catch Me If You Can with City Circle Theatre Company, and The Rocky Horror Show with RHCR. She would like to thank everyone involved with the show, her mom and dad, her brother Austin, her friends, and Wolfgang, for everything. She dedicates each performance to her Grandma Alice who had a great love of music and the arts.
Calvin Boman( Link Larkin) Calvin is enjoying the opportunity to be Link Larkin, a childhood dream role. The movie musical could be heard in his childhood home almost too often. Accompanied many nights by members of his family, whom he loves very much, singing off key.“ Not from me, though. My pitch has always been impeccable.” He said of his family,“ they’ re a bunch of good for nothing, no talent, perfectlygood-movie-musical-ruining,” precious parents and sisters. He says to them,“ thanks for nothing,” and for your support … I’ m sure! Despite all of that, he sends his most earnest thank you’ s and love you’ s to his family and, most importantly, his loving partner, Lucy Conroy.
Wolfgang Amadeus Borchardt( Fender) Amadeus could not wait to drop right back into another show at TCR. He was recently seen at TCR in Jersey Boys( Nick Devito and Others), Beauty and the Beast( The Beast and Prince Adam), Carrie: The Musical( Billy Nolan), Something Rotten!, Rock of Ages( Drew Boley), SpongeBob The Musical and Cabaret. Also, with RHCR performing The Rocky Horror Picture Show( Riff Raff). And recently in Spring Awakening( Malchior Gabor) with City Circle theater company. He also as always wants to thank all his castmates, crew, pit, and production team for all the hard work they do. And thanks to all his family and friends and Emily for supporting him to continue through the arts especially Shay.
Brandon Burkhardt( Corny Collins) is thrilled to be performing again at TCR with his sister, Karissa, where his previous shows include Beauty and the Beast( Gaston), Carrie: The Musical( Tommy), Something Rotten!( Nick Bottom), Wizard of Oz( Tin Man), Meet Me in St. Louis( Lon), The Sound of Music( Rolf), Cinderella( Prince), Newsies( Race), Mamma Mia!, SpongeBob The Musical, and in A Little Night Music( Henrik), Bright Star( Billy Cane), and Light in the Piazza( Giuseppe) at Brucemore. Other roles include Parade( Young Soldier), Titanic( Charles Clarke / Stevedore), Honk!( Greylag) with Revival; a soloist in An
