TOP-NOTCH PRODUCTS & BARBECUE KNOW-HOW

Since 2007, Mason-Dixon BBQ has been the area’ s premier barbecue supply store, but the staff prides itself in providing its customers with more than just top-notch products.“ We have a lot of knowledge,” says owner Eric Forrester, who has been in the barbecue business for 15 years. Though the store sells to Professional KCBS BBQ( Kansas City Barbecue Society) teams, many homeowners also come in seeking expert advice in selecting a smoker that meets their needs.“ When you buy a unit here, you walk out that door knowing how it works and in many cases, you’ ve actually cooked on it.”

“ The entire staff at Mason-Dixon BBQ has either competed in professional barbecue, is a certified barbecue judge, or has been around barbecue in a catering aspect,” Eric says.“ They are very well versed in barbecue.” The staff shares their knowledge with customers to help them gain a true understanding of BBQ.
At Mason-Dixon BBQ you’ ll find barbecue equipment and supplies for smoking, grilling and barbecuing over wood, charcoal, and wood pellets. The store carries a full line of smokers and grills for backyard and commercial use from top brands like Big Green Egg, Meadow Creek, Green Mountain Pellet Grills,
Cookshack Smokers and Weber Grills. Smokers and hog roasters are also available for rent.
One entire room of the store is dedicated to sauces and rubs.“ We carry over 500 sauces and rubs used by professional competition barbecue teams on the barbecue circuit,” Eric says. The selection may seem overwhelming at first, but the staff at Mason-Dixon BBQ can help customers determine their flavor profile preference.
Customers can further sharpen their skills through popular BBQ Bootcamps offered at Mason-Dixon BBQ. All Bootcamps are taught by a Pitmaster and offer the ultimate hands-on experience, covering everything from understanding cuts of meat to trimming, injecting, seasoning and, of course, cooking. Bootcamps are limited to 20 people, and participants get the opportunity to cook on 12 different types of grills and smokers. The staff at Mason-Dixon BBQ knows that educating the customer is a great way to add to their own community of barbecue fanatics, while also creating a customer for life. l
