Shmú a Botanická záhrada Košice
We were at Slovak hydrometeorological institute (SHMI) and Botanical garden in Košice on 23.3.2018. First we visited SHMI. People who are working there showed us some equipment to precipitation or temperature measurement, they gave us information about their everyday duties and what they have to do, then a lot of information about the weather, climate, weather forecast, floods in Slovakia and many more. We also met TV presenter of The weather forecast from our national media called RTVS 1.
Then we attended an exhibiton in Botanical Garden. We were lucky to see many beatiful plants and flowers. Botanical garden is divided into sections. For example section of tropical and subtropical plants or decorative flora. We saw cocoa tree and other interesting plants which they are used to make some food or products we can buy at supermarkets. I liked this excursion very much. We spent a great day in Košice, got to know lot of new things and saw wonderful plants.
