WOMEN’s EMPOWERMENT
written by: Kandace Campbell
B
orn on Chicago’s famous South Side, Kandace learned very early on the
difference between being naturally confident and personifying “tough”
to survive. It wasn’t until Kandace was accepted into one of Chicago’s
elite suburban high school for girls, that she truly learned more about
her self, women, and how perception plays a key role on a young woman’s
confidence. It was there that she formed unbreakable bonds and vowed to
commit her life to unifying women and surrounding herself with positivity.
Kandace has been involved in her community for over 15 years. Whether Kandace
was writing plays for churches and universities, or speaking to a small group of
women or the masses on campus, she’s a firm believer in building confident women across the globe.
ShoeKandi works alongside My Pretty Is, a program designed for young women
ages 14-19 to embrace themselves. We speak on our “pretty” as intelligence,
confidence, strength, and courage. We encourage our young women to see her
value and know her worth.
Our program is designed to motivate young women to see past the images
projected on television, purge feelings of anxiety about appearance, studies,
relationships, and fears, while unifying them through bonds they never thought
they’d share. Our participants leave feeling refreshed, renewed, and respected
as uniquely one her kind.
Kandi has also created a Be Fearless Business Intensive where women (and
men) who are interested in becoming business owners and desire to create
powerful brands can work one on one with her to overcome the fears that
are holding them back from being their best self and ultimately lead to a
happier and healthier life as an entrepreneur. Look for more information on her Be
Fearless Intensives in our next issue.
