RAG BAG BAGGAGE

I should throw it away.
It's a rag,
a favourite skirt for years
like a dress I had as a child
navy blue with off-white spots
large and small
becoming
towards the end
elastic versatile
like another skin
stretched with me as I
once stretched in you and like you
wore well,
washed well
over the years went from
formal to work to casual
frayed and thinned
but still loved
worn
that day too
the last time I saw you.
