Akua Lezli Hope is a creator who uses sound, words, fiber, glass, and metal to create poems, patterns, stories, music, ornaments, wearables, adornments and peace whenever possible. Her awards include two Artists Fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts, a Ragdale U.S.Africa Fellowship, and a Creative Writing Fellowship from The National Endowment for The Arts. Her manuscript, Them Gone, won Red Paint Hill’s Editor’s Prize to be published in 2016. She won the 2015 Science Fiction Poetry Association’s short poem award. A paraplegic, she’s started a paratransit nonprofit so that she can get around her country town. James Croal Jackson graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with degrees in film and creative writing. Some of his poems have recently appeared in The Bitter Oleander, Glassworks, and Ping-Pong.
